AIT Bioscience Expands, Welcomes Three New Employees

AIT Bioscience continues to expand its team to add breadth and depth to our areas of expertise. We are excited to introduce three new employees, who have already been great assets to AIT Bioscience.




Maral Llewellyn joins AIT Bioscience as a Senior Scientist. Dr. Llewellyn received her Ph.D. in Innovative Technology, Biomedical Engineering from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna University, The Robotic Institute. Her experience includes both small and large molecule therapeutics. She has worked over 10 years in drug development and analysis in academia and industry. Her responsibilities in the CRO industry have included serving as technical lead of the bioanalytical projects and assay troubleshooting, protocol development, and compliance oversight. She has managed studies, client expectations, resources, milestones, and timelines.



Aimee Rinas joins AIT Bioscience as a Senior Scientist in the large molecule LBA group. Aimee received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Purdue University. Her research focused on method development and optimization in mass spectrometry-based protein footprinting for complex samples. Dr. Rinas brings over 10 years of academic and industry experience with a mixed background in both immunoassay development and high resolution quantitative proteomics. Prior to joining AITB, she was a mass spectrometry field applications scientist for Thermo Fisher Scientific, serving as a technical and hands-on resource for both internal and external customers for life science mass spectrometry applications. Her previous immunoassay experience include positions as a Technical Affairs Scientist at Roche Diagnostics investigating and validating on-market assays and as an R&D scientist at Seradyn (owned by Thermo Fisher Scientific) developing therapeutic drug monitoring immunoassays.



Nick Williams joins AIT Bioscience as a Systems Administrator. Nick graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Computer Programming Technology. Prior to joining AIT Bioscience, Nick worked as a Manager IT Administrator for over 13 yearsduring which he worked on various and diverse IT projects with a specialization in Windows mass-deployment to ensure uniformity among users. In addition to experience with IT, Nick also has first-hand experience in customer service, shipping, program development and quality control.
