New Mass Spectrometer Expands Lab Capacity
AIT Bioscience recently invested in a new Q Exactive™ Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap™ Mass Spectrometer. This new instrument will allow AIT Bioscience to enhance its discovery protein mass spec capabilities and create additional capacity for protein and peptide work. This equipment will also improve method sensitivity and provide added mass spec support for our Ligand-Binding Assay (LBA) service line.
The new mass spectrometer offers numerous benefits to AIT Bioscience and its sponsors including: fast, trusted results; the ability to confidently and routinely characterize, quantify and confirm predictable results for drug discovery and metabolism studies; and application-specific software for greater throughput and more information. AIT Bioscience looks forward to the results this instrumentation will bring to its sponsors.
This new equipment compliments the expertise of AIT Bioscience Senior Scientist Jim Eckstein. Jim joined AIT Bioscience in January and has more than 25 years of experience in LC/MS analysis, including the analysis of small molecule pharmaceuticals, biomarkers, as well as peptide and protein biotherapeutics.
