AIT Bioscience Welcomes New Chief Scientific Officer
AIT Bioscience has named Shelby R. Anderson, Ph.D., as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Anderson replaces Ronald E, Shoup, Ph.D. in this role. Shoup served as the company’s scientific founder and has held executive leadership roles since September 2008, most recently as CSO since 2013. Shoup has been responsible for motivating the AIT Bioscience team to think differently and see where new technologies could improve quality and efficiency. Shoup will remain part of AIT Bioscience in the role of Executive Advisor.

Ready to Roll; an Efficient Screening Level Assay Process
Back in January we wrote about fit-for-purpose bioanalytical assay support and announced a new small molecule LC-MS/MS screening level assay service at AITB.  Well, we’ve put this process through its paces and have shown our ability to consistently get variability down below 35% and in many cases down below 20%.  For a go-no/go decision point in the program, this low variability in the data gives confidence in the decisions being made.
American Society of Mass Spectrometry in Indy
From June 4-8, the city of Indianapolis got the privilege of playing host to nearly 6500 scientists from around the world who gathered to discuss all aspects of using mass spectrometry in a wide variety of applications. Several of our scientists were able to attend talks, workshops, and short-courses on LC-MS for antibody drug conjugates, proteins, peptides, and analysis of biopharmaceuticals, biosimilars and small molecule therapeutics.
